It depends on how much the AI has to do. An assistant that answers questions on WhatsApp or your website from your own documents costs RM 5,000 to RM 25,000 and takes two to six weeks. An AI that does one job end to end, such as reading supplier invoices into your accounts, costs RM 25,000 to RM 60,000. One that reads and writes to your stock and accounting system costs RM 90,000 to RM 180,000 over three to six months. Model usage and hosting come on top at cost, usually hundreds to a few thousand ringgit a month.

Yes. Customers keep messaging your usual number, and the AI answers the questions your staff answer all day, from sources you have approved. Refunds, complaints and anything unusual go to a person, with the conversation summarised so nobody asks the customer to repeat it. Not for most business jobs. With a hosted AI model, your prompts and documents go to the model provider, so check how long it keeps them and whether it trains on them.
